Summer Term Topic
This term our topic is Stone Age to Iron Age. In History the children will be learning all about Pre History from the Stone Age to the Iron Age including life in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age and the changes in these periods. They will find out about a Neolithic settlement, about Stonehenge and life in an Iron Age hill fort. In Geography they will be finding out about the location of Iron Age Hill forts.
Here is some background information about the topic to get you started on your learning journey back in time to Pre Historic Britain.
We will be learning about The Stone Age over the next few weeks. This is one of my favourite topics! Let’s jump in and look at this fact sheet.

You could add this information to the spider diagram we did in English.
Use different headings for the information. For example: Food, Tools, Shelter…
IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT COLOURS TO MAKE IT STAND AND LOOK GREAT.
I have added some slides to give you some more information.
Today we are continuing with our topic The Stone Age. To get a deeper understanding we need to look at where abouts in history this period falls.

Next, read these slides.
Finally, can you sort these 12 cards in the chronological order?
Chronological order = time order, earliest to latest.
Copy out the information from each card into the correct order, if you want, you can do the little drawings to.
Hopefully, it will look like a beautiful, colourful poster in the end.
