This week has been an exciting one for our Reception children. We have been very busy learning about the garden. With our garden theme, we have discovered what we find in our gardens such as vegetables, fruits and insects. The discussion of this topic has sparked such curiosity and excitement in our children. They have used carrots and pears to do paint stamping which allowed them some creativity, too, making patterns out of the stamping.
The reception children have been introduced to symmetry, too. They explored this concept by painting half a butterfly on the one side of the symmetrical line and folded their page over to create a completed butterfly picture- what amazement we saw from them!
