We value children's opinions at St Luke's and there are a number of ways that children can contribute their ideas and opinions to school life. We have teams of young leaders that include School Council, English, Maths, Collective Worship, Young Philosophers, History, Geography, Wellbeing Team, and Digital Leaders (see the full leader groups at the bottom of this page). Children also elect a Head Boy and Head Girl and their deputies every September.
Every September we hold our elections for Head Girl and Head Boy. Children in Year 6 who wish to stand, each write a manifesto which they share with the school during an election assembly. All the children from Year 1 up and staff then get to vote at our Polling Station for the candidates they prefer. Children are taught about the democracy and the electoral system of the UK as part of the election process.
