Our theme for Science this term is Rocks!

The children had the opportunity to look at the rocks we have in school. We explored igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks. Over the last two weeks we have learnt how igneous rocks form as well as sedimentary and metamorphic.

The children had a lovely visit from the London Careers Festival: KS2 redraw the Balance with What's My Line? They got to meet a real engineer and someone who works in the childcare provision. The children had the opportunity to ask questions about the job role and how they got there!

A lovely welcome back to Year 3 for spring term 2!

We are getting so close to the end, the children have made spectacular progress and this is what we have been up to.

The children finished off their volcanoes from last term and got to experiment with mentos and sprite! They enjoyed creating their own volcanoes and taking them home.
