Rooted in our vision: “Love God. Love your neighbour as yourself. Be the Good Samaritan” (Luke 10:25–37)
At St Luke’s Church of England Primary School, we believe that children are at the heart of all we do. Our behaviour principles reflect our Christian vision and are lived out through our L.I.F.E. values: Love – Include – Flourish – Empower. We aim to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children feel safe, respected, and able to thrive.
This is a statement of principles, not practice. The practical application of these principles is the responsibility of the Headteacher and staff, outlined in our Behaviour and Positive Relationships Policy, and in our phase-specific behaviour documents:
Y2–6 Behaviour Approaches: The St Luke's Way
EYFS–Y1 Behaviour Approaches
These documents are reviewed annually by the Governing Board in consultation with senior leaders and staff, and are shared with children and families at the start of each school year to ensure clarity and consistency.
